A Casey Family History

The Descendants of James and Anne(a) Casey of South Carolina

The parents of James Casey and his wife are not known. The first record I have found which contains the following family group is the 1850 Cass County Georgia Census (Cass County became Bartow County in 1861). James, his wife and the three oldest children are reportedly born in South Carolina. A James Casey does appear in 1820, 1830 Spartanburg SC Census Records. Also as noted in the sources,The South Carolina Magazine of Ancestral Research indicates evidence of a marriage between James and Ann Casey in South Carolina in about 1820. I continue to search for the Last/Maiden Surname of James' wife, Anne as well as their parent's names.
